AAKS IS CELEBRATING AFRICAN DESIGN THIS FEBRUARY
It has been a busy start to 2021 for AAKS, after an extraordinary 2020. While it was a difficult year for us all in so many ways, for my little brand we have truly never had more exposure, more orders, more press - it was wild.
The Black Lives Matter movement sent so many of you to us in 2020. While it was exciting to see awareness of AAKS skyrocket, one of the most incredible parts about it was knowing that so many of my followers want to make change with the kind of brands they support. That’s the stuff that keeps us going!
AAKS is African designed, African made, African inspired, so we feel it’s important for us to celebrate Black History Month to start the year off with. In spirit of this year’s Black History Month theme of The Black Family, I want to celebrate and support African countries from across the continent. The best way I know how to do that is to share with you inspiring design from various countries, and inspire you to follow them, share them and support them just as you have done for us!
